lt is 2017 in the Uyghur Region. Dilber, a 27 year-old single woman, faces increasing pressures to get married. Every day she video calls with her friend Gulnur in Paris, who offers her a solution. 

This medium-length film reflects on the challenges that Uyghur women face from both traditional social mores and the highly oppressive political environment in China. The film screening will be followed by a Q&A. 

Mukaddas Mijit is an ethnomusicologist, filmmaker, artist and postdoctoral fellow at the Université libre de Bruxelles.
